If you had asked me at the end of last year if I would ever have social media again, I would have said no.
For the previous five years I had chosen to build my business offline. My belief being that if I did an amazing job with my clients, they would have no other option but to refer me to everyone they knew.
Then in January I decided I would post all my old content as YouTube shorts just for fun. Every day for 3 months to see what would happen. My subscriber count went from 249 to 449. I thought that was cool.
In March I left YouTube and decided Substack was better for me. I am a writer after all, so for 3 months I decided to place my attention here. This lead me to porting my email list over and losing at least 30 subscribers so far from my original email list.
By July I realized I have a self sabotage program running and it was time I put it to bed. One where I stick with something for a short time then leave.
Enter my sacral challenge.
As someone who can see where some else’s energy block is in less than hour, I’m not so hot at doing the same for myself (darn ego!).
In the book The Mountain is You by Brianna Weist I learned I am an uprooter. Someone who changes something in their lives constantly to keep themself from being seen.
Since launching my business in 2017 I have used no less than 10 different platforms to host my content. I opened and closed two previous Instagram accounts. I changed my name, which made everything with my birth name seem invalid. I’ve moved 9 times (twice across country). I’ve ported my email list at least 8 times. I could go on but I think you get the point.
I am the poster child for uprooting to keep myself hidden. A classic sacral chakra misalignment.
Even the universe has gotten involved, sending me signs it’s time to take up space.
During a group coaching call in Homeward with Amber Lilyestrom a few months ago, we were asked to share the work we do in way that would have someone lean in.
I found myself saying I was the Marie Kondo for your chakras. Everyone leaned in. I saw it happen and ignored the response.
During a Soul Blueprint Reading a couple weeks ago, the human I was reading said, “I’ve had a soul blueprint reading before and this is not that. This is something completely different”. I heard her but didn’t listen.
Then in another group coaching call two weeks ago I shared that I saw loose threads around a client when they were talking until a golden thread appeared and I pulled it. The gold thread was the program running that was creating their block, and when it was pulled it untangled all their internal and external discomfort.
The response I got was to share that. Period.
Still I did nothing.
It wasn’t until I decided to reopen an Instagram account and share content for 365 days straight that things began to make sense.
I tell my clients all the time that the way we heal is to put ourselves in positions of growth. Don’t look in the rearview mirror, but where you want to be going. You don’t have to find energy blocks, they will find you if you are moving forward.
For the first week I shared content I fluctuated between inspiration and dread. Think the movie Tangled when she finally makes it out of her tower.
The second week felt like a crash course in wtf am I doing, with a sprinkle of this is the longest week of my life on top.
This week it landed. If I am doing this, I want to do this. All in. No more hiding. Calling myself out.
Which is why I changed the names of my offers (for the last time this year).
I asked myself, how could I describe what I did in one sentence.
It took a few days but I got the answer.
When I’m doing a reading, I find the energy block keeping someone stuck in less than the hour. Then in 1:1 we release the self sabotaging program that was found in their reading for good.
Once I had the answer to that question, the names of the offers dropped in. Root Cause Reading and Rewired. Find the root cause then rewire the program.
All this downloaded during the most potent portal of the year. Maybe you have felt it too. It began on the 8th and ends today during the new moon solar eclipse.
It’s asking us who we want to be and what space we want to take up in the world.
For me it’s taking a decade of readings and owning the results I get with my clients. No more minimizing, hiding, or uprooting.
